fuckin trees, man....... how the hell do i model a tree? like, this shouldn't be that hard, and yet after a solid year of attempts, i still can't get it!!! i mean, i DO have a nice pine tree, but for anything that *isn't* a pine tree, i'm out of luck

the problem with trees is that they require so much variation, because obviously every tree can't look the same. once i get the core "look" down, i'm probably gonna need to make a script to generate random trees, which will be hell to make.

all of this for a tree! like, i could just.... not have trees, but i have a sneaking suspition that that'd become problematic fairly quickly for anything set outside. at the end of the day, i've gotta have trees, one way or another
